To the Land Commissioners, Greetings: I hereby state my claim for land, under the konohiki, at Kapalama. The length of my right of occupancy on that land is from /the time of/ Halepua, until the present, that is how long I have had my four lo`i.

.... ed this land from the king before the disturbance by Kaomi and at that same time Kahinu, the wife of Kukuhe, had received her land. Upon Kukuhe's death this ili land was inherited by his younger brother, Napoeha, and Kahinu bequested her patches to Maraea. Napoeha had made the land divisions with the king in 1848.
