Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I hereby tell you of my kihapais and house lot and the planted trees.
The kihapais consist of 7 mala on the kula, 3 at pahee*, 4 within ulu*, 1 at apaa* and 16 taro mala between apaa and the ama'u [fern zone]. 1 is in the forest. In the ili of Naalapa at Makanaike, there are 2 [kihapai] on the kula and 1 within ulu*, and there are 10 taro mala between apaa* and the ama'u [fern zone]. The house lot length is 96 fathoms. Halulu has enclosed the land, 2 houses for him and his people, they live there.
Old residents of the land since Kamehameha I, no one has objected. 2 palm trees, 2 pandanus trees, 1 potato kihapai. Halulu had planted these trees and potato.
