Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I hereby state my claim for house site, at upper Kaalaa in Honolulu land. It is bounded makai by Kamakaeha's place, Ewa side by the road of George Booth, mauka by the lo`i of M. Kekuanaoa, Waikiki side by Namakaeha also. No one has opposed me.

Hakalaau was to have lived there without having interest for himself. That was my instructions to him. The big patches of this land I have given to Namakeha, I have not known of any other place, on which Hakalaau has had a claim.
I was agreed - Hakalaau has no claim, Namakeha, the konohiki has acquired it.
