To the Land Commissioners, Greetings: I, Kawaa, hereby state my claim which is held under Z. Kaauwai, for 7 lo`i and some small kulas and 4 inherited lo`i which I am re-making because they are so small.
This place of which I tell you is in Waihee in an `Ili named Papaina. I also have a house site there.
Furthermore, in the Ahupua`a of Honokohau on the Island of Maui, in the `Ili named Panioi, are 33 lo`i and a section of watercourse, a kula planted in sweet potatoes and my house site. This is my own, it does not be ....

.... ocation for that land in Honokohau. The section in Waihee was from Z. Kaauwai in 1845. Land to Kaauwai had been from Kaeo (blind) in 1838. Land in Honokohau from Kaaimalo in 1833. Kawaa has done Poalima work on these lands. Kapeahi stirred for the land at the time of Kaaimalalo's death in 1844.
