Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I, Auwaa, whose name is on this letter, hereby state to you my claims for house lot land and house, kula, and the planted trees, at Haleu, Lahaina, Maui.
The claims are for 12 lo`i, 2 house sites and 2 houses, 3 kula, 2 breadfruits, 2 kukui trees, some grape vines, some neleau trees, ....

.... had it from Nahaoleelua about 1842 and has held it to this time, but disputed by Nahaoleelua who made Auwaa head man of "Healu" and gave him this place to live in. I think it should be Nahaoleelua's now that auwaa is no longer had man.
Nalulu recalled I am of the same opinion as to the right of Nahaoleelua.
