The Land Commissioners, greetings: I, Haoe, a Hawaiian subject living in Koloa on the island of Kauai hereby state my claim for land in Kuia in the `ili/Ahupua`a/ of Hulaia. The name of the mo`o is Kalehuakaele. However, my house is at Koloa. That mo`o is a valley, there are palis on the west and the east. It was received from Ahukai. This is my claim.

This land came from Kaanaana to Haoe and after him to Kanoa. At the present there is no one is opposition. Three years have past.
Nuhi, sworn, witness I have heard the testimony of Kaanaana concerning the land of Haoe and it is true.
