To the Honorable Board of Commissioners, &c, &c, Gentlemen:

In compliance with your public notice I herewith send you the right and manner by which I hold a small land called Kahuamua, in the district of Hilo in the Island of Hawaii. It is a land which for some years had no occupant or native residing on it; and was without any cultivation, and as it, of course, paid no rent or tax. Before S.K. Kamakau & John Pelham, Messrs G.P. Judd & Governor Kapau while in Hilo finds a balance due claimant as Sheriff fee for services from February 1 1847 to June 20 1849. Promised claimant to commute his claim to a fee simple for said balance due him. Notes of survey &c were sent to him and a copy of same given to Judge Lee.
