Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I hereby explain to you, the Commissioners, the basis of my house lot claim at Hanalei. My occupation dates from the Kauai war, and there has been no opposition. Therefore I believe I have a right to it. The length of the house lot is 34 fathoms, and the width is 22. It is bounded: on the north by Mahuahua's lot claim, on the east by the land of Kale, on the south by the government road, on the west by the pond of Kanoa.
