Greetings to the Land Commissioners of Hawaii: I have a small `ili in the Ahupua`a of Kawela, on the Island of Molokai. The `ili, which is named Kawaimake, was inherited from my makuas. It lies from the shore inland. Kaluanui is the `ili which lies on the upwind side, being the east, and Mahoe is the name of the `ili adjoining on the west side. Kawaimake lies from the sea to the kuahiwi /mountains/. My maku ....
