No. 3747, Upai
Hear ye, ye Land Commissioners: I have a mo`o /named/ Heleki in the Ahupua`a of Kumueli, Island of Molokai which is 393 fathoms long by 40 fathoms wide. See his letter for the diagram he drew*. Furthermore, there is a lot claim which was measured and the length obtained. The diagram is below:
Three mo`o, those of Mahoe, Makanui and Kailianu, adjoin the taro claim from the seaward side, and below /to the leeward/ are some konohiki lo`is, mauka are some house lots, and to the eastward is a lo`i po`alima and the pond of Heleiki.
Pupuka was the one who gave it to my makuakane, Upai nui /Big Upai/, and I inherited it. The present konohiki is Napunako, and the length of time it has been held is from before the Fort. The witness is Pukila.
I hereby state that there are also some kulas for planting sweet potatoes, which have not been measured, and a kula for planting wauke. If you are coming to investigate, that I can fully explain to you.
