To the Land Commissioners: I hereby tell you of my land in Wananalua. On the north side is the land of Kaohilo ma, on the east side is the lot of Hopu ma, on the south side is the lot of Ohule ma, and it lies inland to the mountain. This land was given to my makua, Kanoa. It was given to him /Kanoa/ by Kupa, the ancient landlord. I desire to have this land awarded for myself and my heirs.
