The Land Commissioners of Hawaii, Greetings: Here is my claim for fourteen lo`i and some extremely scattered lo`is which is it not possible to enumerate, which are all combined in my claim. This place is in the lele of Palikea in the upland, adjoining Kapouhuluhulu and Kaukahoku. This is a very old claim which I have occupied from the time of Kailipun ....

.... Kailipunakea during the uproar of Kaomi in 1833 and he has lived peacefully to the present time.

Uhunhu, sworn, I have seen this claim which belongs to Kahula in Palikea, it is a true claim and he has lived there since the time of Kailipunakea to the present. Kepu has succeeded him as konohiki. No objections and the testimony above it true.
