Gentlemen: About 1835 I did work for Kapiulani [sic] to amount of 300 $, 150$ of which she paid in various articles. the remaining 150 she gave a tract of land for, situated in Onauli about 1840. I exchanged this land for a land in Kaawaloa with Kapaakea called at the water side Owili, Mauka Manapipi.
At time of exchange Kapaakea gave the writings that ....

On makai side by a round hill.
Hale, sworn says, he knows the land of claimant in Koloaiki. I came here from Oahu after the death of Governor Pitt, and Barrett had possession of the land now claimed.
