To the Land Commissioners, Greetings: I hereby state my claim at Waiehu, an Ahupua`a in the Island of Maui. There are some lo`is in the `ili of Kaili, and `ili of Waiehu. There is one other person in this place and one po`alima lo`i, which is separate. I am telling of mine and the one who has the single farm is under me. There is also a houselot at a place called Pahapahawale, in Waiehu. I also have ten lo`i there. At Honuhonu nui are eight lo`i and at Honuhonu iki, which is a place for my wahine, there are two sections and the houselot at the shore. However the konohiki is crowding us. However there is no house -- the konohiki took it in the year 1843 and we have no house at this time, it has been objected to. This is my petition to you.
