To the Land Commissioners, Greetings: I, the undersigned, hereby state my claim for land, consisting of three taro lo`i in the `ili of Maliko, in the ahupua`a of Kapalama, Island of Oahu, also a house lot which is at Niuhelewai in the ahupua`a of Kapalama in the `ili of Kaluapuaa. That is what I have to tell.

Puaaloa, sworn, It is true, I had given him patches, but, Halulu had given him patches in 1841. I had replaced Halulu after he had been released. I had given him a streamsection which adjoins his patches. This stream section which is toward the sea from his place shall be left for the konohiki, no objections to Kialua.
