To the Land Commissioners, Greetings: I herety tell you of my claim for my four patches and also an `auwai /irrigation ditch/ in the `ili `aina of Kaukahoku, in Kapalama, adjoin-ing Honolulu, Island of Oahu. I have lived there eight years.

Keaonui's land had been mine although he has no house there and no fence. I had given him that property in the year 1837 because he was a caretaker and Kekai is my wife and I had given her to Keaonui.

Pi, sworn and said, "I have seen this property exactly as Koi has just related to you people."
