Greetings to you, the Land Commissioners: On the island of Kauai, Ahupua`a of Hanapepe, `ili of Kaauaekahi, I have a land named Waikanene. Waikanono iki is the name of the land adjoining on the north side, on the east is Pehu's land, on the south is Puumakole, on the west is a pali. It measures 4 chains 10 fathoms on the north, 2 chains 10 fathoms or the west, 3 chains 10 fathoms on the south and 1 chain 10 fathoms on the east.
I also have a house lot which is in this same `ili. The main name of this house lot is Wai ....

.... of Kapekue's house lot. The No. 2 which has been awarded to him is the same as that awarded to Puakala 4595. & belongs to Puakala. By comparing the 2 surveys made by Mr. Pease. You will note that they are both in the same spot, only a little variation in the courses. I have surveyed for Kapekue, the lot where his house lot stands & has always stood. I cannot see how Mr. P. can have made the blunder. I send also the award of Kapekue to be corrected.
