Greetings to you in the peace of God: I, Kanialama, a Hawaiian subject living at Hanapepe, island of Kauai, have two lo`i. North, 35 fathoms, north east, 13 fathoms 3 feet, southeast, 295 fathoms, west, 14 fathoms. On the north is Kaniao and Makaulii, on the northeast are the lo`is of Upekole, on the southeast are the lo`is of Pekua, on the west is a pali. These lo`is were acquired in the time of Kaumualii and have been held until the present, however, under Kupia.
