Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I, Kahookano, hereby explain to you the nature of my claim. It is a land area at Kelawea in Lahaina. I received it from Hoapili wahine, as I worked as a carpenter for her. I did not tend the land, I was busy doing her work, that is the nature of my occupancy of this land.
