Kamehameha III, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto the Members of the Protestant Church at Makawao his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of Twenty Two Dollars, paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Makawao, in the Island of Maui, and described as follows:
Commencing at Stake at South corner of this joining the lands of Keawe and J.S. Green, and running
North 51° East 16 Chains 52 8/12 feet along makai side of J.S. Green's land to stake at Kalawa's South corner, thence
North 37° 45' West 4 Chains 10 feet a ....
