In the Matter of the Petition of Kalele (wahine) for the Settlement of the Boundaries of “Kaahaloa –iki” situated at Waikiki, Oahu, Award No. 40. [No. 40 M.A.]

Application

To. R.F. Bickerton, Esquire, Commissioner of Boundaries for the Island of Oahu.
The Petition of Kalele (wahine), widow of Davida Kalanikahua (kane), late of Honolulu, Oahu, deceased and Paahao (kane), her husband of Honolulu aforesaid respectfully represents as follows:

That the land of Kaahaloa iki situated at Waikiki Kona Oahu aforesaid was awarded by the Minister of the Interior by award number 40 to Davida Kalanikahua, the former husband of given Petitioner.

That after the decease of the said Davida Kalanikahua in A.D. 1878, the said land Kaahaloa-iki came into the possession of your petitioner as devisee under the last Will of said Davida Kalanikahu, the boundary of which land has not yet been ascertained.

That no Royal Patent has been issued for the said land of Kaahaloa-iki, which came into your petitioner's possession by Will of said Davida Kalanikahua, as aforesaid.
