No. 3519, [Pauloa], Kamakea
N.R. 99-100v6
To the Land Commissioners, Greetings: I hereby petition for my claim at Paleileiha. It was taken by Keaweiwi and conveyed to Pia, but this petition is not for the konohiki's place, but for our own place. Within this land are 19 lo`i of the konohiki, that is his claim, and the portion of our land was taken by Pia for himself without /our/ being at fault.
Respectfully,
KAMAKEA, ....

.... king from Pauloa. Pia took a trip to Oahu and inquired of Kaauwai as to the number of Koeles there were in Palailaiha. He was told there were 3 koele patches. That when he returned he was informed there were 16 koeles. 7 koele patches were lost so Pia took 9 patches, the house site and the pandanus. This was wrong on Pia's part, this land should be returned to Pauloa.
