Know, O Land Commissioners officiating on the Island of Oahu, in the capital at Honolulu: I, Kaulua, hereby tell of my house lot claim in Hilo, in the Ahupua'a called Ponahawai, stating that the dimensions are: on the Puna side, 252 feet, on the makai side, 198 feet, on the Hilo side, 186 feet, on the mauka side, 246 feet.

Kekuaiwa, Kamahiai (Female), Haole, Kualau, Like (8 yrs.)
Puniana's father had obtained this land during the time of Kamehameha I; no one has objected to him.
Peleula, sworn, He has known exactly as Puaa had related here.
