ROYAL PATENT,
UPON CONFIRMATION OF LAND COMMISSION

Whereas, The Board of Commissioners to Quiet Land Titles have by their decision awarded unto A. Paki, No. 10613 an Estate of Freehold less than Allodial, in and to the land hereafter described, and whereas the said The Government has relinquished its rights in this land without commutation.

Therefore, Kamehameha, by the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known to all men, that he has, for himself and successors in office this day granted and given absolutely, in Fee Simple, unto A. Paki all that certain piece of land situate at Waialaeiki, ili o Waikiki in Kona, in the Island of Oahu, and described as follows:

Commencing at the Southeast angle of the property on the seashore at a yellow colored stone at the end of the wall of Wailupe fishpond, the boundary runs along the land of Wailupe.
North 10° 34' West 1789 feet to the top of a ridge, thence
North 12° West 4180 feet, thence in a bent line a shown in plan along ridge to a point North 36° West 715 feet, thence
North 7° 56' East 353 feet, Thence
North 25° 40' West 1180 feet to the top of hill, Thence along ridge
North 34° 40' ....

Commencing at the point marked C on the plan the boundary line runs
South 60° 51' West 217 feet, thence in a bent line
South 53° 33' West 107 feet, thence
South 44° 42' West 203 feet to a stone wall, thence
North 57° 25' West 857 feet to a stone wall, thence
North 62° 34' West 254 feet, thence
North 60° West 386 feet in middle of Kapakahi stream opposite the end of the stone wall at the mouth  of the valley mentioned in foregoing description, thence down the stream 1113 feet in a straight line thence as before described to the point marked B on plan. Thence to point of commencement of detached piece No. 2 thence along the west side of No. 2 to point o commencement at C and contains an area of 217 2/10 Acres.

Containing  1391        acres, more or less; excepting and reserving to the Hawaiian Government, all mineral or metalic mines of every description.

To have and to hold the above granted land in Fee Simple, unto the said A. Paki, heirs and assigns forever, subject to the taxes to be from time to time imposed by the Legislative Council, equally upon all landed property held in Fee Simple.

In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the Hawaiian Islands to be affixed, this 8 day of April, 1857.
