To the Honorable Land Commissioners, Greetings: I hereby state my land claims. First: a land at Kapaloa in Honolulu. This place was from our keiki. Kuhia gave it to him and on his death he gave it to us. From that time we have occupied this land in peace, without dispute. It has been surveyed and its diagram is below.

Makai by the konohiki's land
Ewa side by the heir of Kewalo.

This land was given by Kuhia, a konohiki of this land in the time of Kinau to Hikiau, a son of claimant, from whom claimant derived it. Claimant lived on this land up to the time of his death about 1848. His son-in-law, Kaihikahuole, has held the land since claimant's death.

Manaia, sworn says, she knows this kuleana, and confirms in full the testimony of last witness.
