Kamehameha III, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto Samuel Mills Damon his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of Seventy Five Dollars, paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Punui [sic.], Nuuanu, in the Island of Oahu, and described as follows:

Commencing at corner of stone wall at mauka North corner of this land, joining land claimed by Dr. T.C.B. Rooke and Kanelawaiia and running
South 32° 15' West 6 Chains 33 feet along Dr. Rooke&# ....
