Kamehameha III, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto Josua Kaeo, his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of Twenty-five Dollars, paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Kawananakoa, Nuuanu, in the Island of Oahu, and described as follows:
Commencing at West corner of this lot 1 Chain East of stream and running North 2° East 2 Chains 8 feet along wall parallel with stream to slight angle, Thence
North 7° 15i kela manawa i keia manawa East 2 Chains 19 10/12 feet along wall to angle; Thence
North 22° 30' East 63 4/12 feet to North corner of this lot, Thence
South 51° 45' East 2 Chains 46 2/12 feet along ....
